The Legislature Parliament on Sunday endorsed the first amendment bill related to political parties in a bid to grant election symbol to Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal for phase II poll.

Home Minister Janardan Sharma presented the bill at today's house meet to bring the agitating Rastriya Janata Party-Nepal onboard the second phase of local level elections slated for June 28.

When the bill is endorsed through regular procedure, it takes at least five days for the bill to get matured after its registration at the Legislature-Parliament.

According to Parliament regulations, lawmakers are given 72 hours to file any amendment after discussion on bills. With this, it takes at least nine days for a bill to get endorsed.

However, the government adopted fast-track to endorse the bill that grants electoral symbol to RJP-N.
